Iyanya Quits MMMG, Joins New Record Label
Iyanya Quits MMMG
Iyanya has been hinting at his exit from Made Men Music Group and a virtual split from partner, Ubi Franklin, and seems to have done it.
The singer took to his Instagram page today, July 27, to announce that he has signed with a new record label and his latest album would be released under it.
Read what he wrote below:
“Dear Fans, i am pleased to announce that i have signed on with Temple Management Company. About a year ago, Ubi and i discussed options to diversify our business interests and creative visions and we both agreed that we would explore all avenues open to us. So much has happened since and i have now completed work on my new album which will be released under a new record label.
“With both @thetemplecompany, and the new album, i am now embarking in a new direction which will not only bring you the same quality, verve and energy that you have become accustomed to, it will take things to the next level.
“Ubi remains my brother and we both look forward to this new phase of our careers. God bless you all.”
Although Iyanya failed to clarify if the record label was his or not, he revealed that he had signed under the new company. He had earlier disclosed that he would be starting up his own record label, a fact that started up rumours of a feud between himself and Ubi.
Ubi was quick to clear up the rumours when he revealed that he was aware of Iyanya’s plan for his own record label, and totally in support of it.
A new track by Iyanya featuring the legendary Makossa master Awilo Longomba titled why filtered online, it was rumoured to have dropped under his new label.
Do you think this is the right move as Iyanya quits MMMG?
